Loyalty

Recently, I found out about an indiscretion by an ex-best friend that happened years ago. I was so angry at first even though our friendship had been over for five years. The whole reason the friendship was trashed was because of her betrayal. She decided that she wanted to distance herself from me but still communicate with our other best friend. They both felt that they didn't need me since they had each other ( funny that, I introduced them). Well, after that I thought that it was the only time she had betrayed me. Turns out, while we were still living together she invited a friend (that I had been seeing romantically) over to our Apt. And slept with him. My first reaction was "DIRTY WHORE!!!". How gross is that? Who sleeps with someone that their friend had been dating? Total sloppy seconds. Still pisses me off. I had no idea that she was so disloyal to me before I discovered she was disloyal. I also found out that her and my other best friend had both kissed him on the same group trip to Vegas while were still living together. Primo friends huh? But you are probably wondering "what about that jerk who was kissing your friends?" Well if I had known about it at the time his ass would have been kicked but when it comes down to it he wasn't that important to me and didn't owe me any kind of commitment. They did however. It still bums me out that I will never be friends with them again. I loved those girls. They were two of the most important people in my life. Loyalty is one of my dominant characteristics. I am loyal to a fault. I'll fight and support. It has never occurred to me to even look at a friends guy in more than a "he better not fuck with her" attitude. These girls are not good people deep down. They are selfish and VERY good at fooling people to believe that they are special people who deserve respect. One of them is a conniving, sloppy seconds lovin, sneak and the other is borderline psycho. It's sad because I never saw it coming.
